Marbella - The Hollywood of Europe

Did you know that there are more and more films being shot here on the Costa del Sol?

Not only films but popular Netflix shows as well, both Spanish and international productions.

This is great news for aspiring actors and filmmakers.

In the past, we already had the pleasure to help prepare students for their auditions and see them land their first roles!

Here are a few shows and films that have been produced in the area:

Let’s start with ‘Dark Light’ - directed by Damian Chapa, a famous actor, producer and director.

The crime thriller has been a big hit at the Marbella Film Festival this year, and our very own Estefania Villaespesa took home the best actress award for playing the lead.

Toy Boy has been a big favourite on Netflix, for a good reason!

The show has been filmed in Malaga and Fuengirola area.

Warrior Nun, another popular Netflix series produced here in Spain. And guess what? Some of our students are in it too!

The Crown season 5 has been one of the latest productions in the area. The crew has been spotted in Puerto Banus!

Any Game of Thrones fans out there? The HBO series had a huge success worldwide, with some episodes being filmed here.

As you can see there is everything from Hollywood-level productions to independent filmmaking on the Costa del Sol.

Marbella is a real gem and those in the film industry know it well.

Often times agencies and producers approach our school, scouting for new talent.

And of course, we are here to help, recommending people for the right role and help them become skilled actors
